When you choose Sundog, you’re getting a custom sauna, built from scratch with years of experience and the craftsmanship to prove it. We love good wood, fine finishes and creative builds that stand the test of time. We use only the highest quality materials in our builds. Sauna is a lifestyle, one forged by ritual and daily practice. We want to make you a sauna that not only fits your home but feels like home. Sit, sweat, rest, repeat (we definitely recommend a cold plunge in that rotation as well, but we’ll get into that later). Saunas are a place for connection and revival. We partner with reputable sauna heater manufacturers to ensure your sauna experience is as good as the build itself. The craftsmanship speaks for itself. Getting started is simple. Reach out through our contact form — we’ll walk you through the next steps and answer any questions along the way. We are sauna enthusiasts! Let’s get stoked about all things sauna.

After an initial conversation where you share your dreams, we can begin sketching up the steam. Once you’ve paid your design fee, we’ll provide a transparent quote along with your custom design. From there we can make adjustments if needed! Once the design has gotten the stamp of approval, we’ll turn those blueprints into your dream sauna in our warehouse! Once the sauna build is complete and dreamy- we send it on a big ol’ truck straight to you!

Pricing is based on a number of different things: sauna size (2 person, 4 person, etc), wood finish types (interior/exterior), heat source (wood or electric), and a long list of custom finishes you can choose from. Typical price range: $17,500-$35,000 and up.

Since your sauna will be built offsite and delivered it will be important to make sure you’ve got an appropriate site prepared! We can go over the details of this once we get the ball rolling and you can expect to receive a detailed spec of what’s needed for your sauna. Sundog Sauna may be able to assist with site prep services if you live locally (Methow Valley, Washington).

There is a long list of well-supported health benefits, especially with a regular sauna practice (4–7 times per week is where the magic happens and stronger cardiovascular benefits start to show. This is one of the biggest pros for building your own sauna! Regular use is key. The Finnish folk sauna almost daily).
